A couple of weeks back, I received a letter from my coach. This letter was written by me to myself in March 2016 where I had promised myself to mentor 40 people in 2016. I was disappointed when I read this letter in December because, as per me, I hadn’t mentored 40 people!
I commenced to introspect on what really went wrong and why I did not achieve this goals and EUREKA!, it hit me. The reasoning behind this goal was to enable outstanding people and at the same time, create a viable business for people around me so that all are happy.
My realization was that I hadn’t defined mentoring! As per Miriam-Webster dictionary, mentor means a trusted counselor or guide, a tutor or coach. When I understood the real definition of mentoring, I figured where I went wrong.
I wanted to enable the inner strengths of people. I want to make a difference in their lives. I wanted to touch people in ways that would set them on a path to excellence.
When I realized this, I felt very happy because I know for a certainty, that I have touched a lot more than 40 people in 2016. I have touches at least a hundred people through Partem since we commenced with our workshops and seminars.
This has given me the juice and the energy to set new goals for myself for 2017. These gals are pertaining only to my vision and I feel juiced when I think about it.
My vision goals are as follows for 2017:
- I touch 1,500 people through Partem by December 31, 2017
- All people connected with Partem make money
- Partem has a net margin of 40%
- Partem revenues are USD 1.5 million
