Most people want to be more successful. Yet, if you ask them exactly how they are going to be successful, what is it exactly that they want – most of them do not know.
What is that you want? Really, really want? Do you know? Before you can become successful you need to have clarity of what you want, by when you want it, and how you are going to get it. It sounds very simple but remember, simple does not mean easy. You need to have motivation, be disciplined, and work hard with unwavering commitment.
However, even that is not the most important part. A lot of people just go through the motions. They work hard, put in a lot of hours, and yet they are not succeeding. Why? This is where you need to do some soul searching and answer even a harder question: What’s keeping you from it? What is it that lies between where you are now and where you want to be? What is it that stands between the person that you are today and the person that you want to be?
Most people will say that there are circumstances, obstacles, or reasons. The reasons are someone, or something; it’s their family, or their kids; it’s their childhood or their friends; it’s their karma or fate…
But it’s none of those. It’s your thoughts! Conscious or subconscious… it’s your thoughts, and, particularly, the thoughts of yours that do not include your wished-for reality. Those are the thoughts that are hiding behind your fears. Fears of failure, rejection, disapproval, and, the biggest of them all: “What if I succeed and those dreams come true?!”
Whatever it is that you really want in this life lies a thought away. Your thought. That’s it. That’s all. And nothing else! Nothing else that really matters, not karma, not fate, not luck, not approvals or disapprovals of others. Nothing else matters, because nothing has a meaning except the meaning you attach to it.
So, take a deep breath, decide what you want, and get focused.
Mind over matter and limitations shatter!
