8 Reasons You Won’t Succeed in Network Marketing
By David Voth, Best Selling Author, gamp1.com
1. Lack of desire
Desire creates the passion that you need to make it in network marketing. You need a desire to really do this and get out of the rat race forever. If you really understand this business and have a true desire to help yourself and others—you’re already 90% there. Most people are happy with the way things are. People who desire better are the ones who change the world.
“Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.” ~Napoleon Hill
2. Lack of vision
Begin with the end in mind. All things are created twice; first in our minds, and then we work to make them real.
“If you can dream it, you can do it.” ~Walt Disney
3. Lack of commitment
Decide! Decide to do it. Commit yourself to make it happen. The first step to success is to see what you want and then make a commitment to do the work to make your vision a reality.
“Once it’s a must, you will find a way.” ~Tony Robbins
4. Lack of training
You’ve got to get training. Once you know what you want and you’ve made a commitment to get it, you need some skills… you need some training. The best way to get trained is by a mentor who has already accomplished what you want. That’s one of the great things about network marketing. Your upline has a vested interest in your success. However, if your company doesn’t have the training that you need, then find a network marketing professional that you can learn from.

“If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.” ~Tony Robbins
5. Not treating your business as a business
If you’re going to be in network marketing decide to be a professional and treat your business like a real business because that’s what it is. If you purchased a million dollar franchise you won’t treat it like a part-time hobby. You would work it like a business. Since your network marketing business can make you more than many franchises you owe it to yourself and your family to treat it like a real business.
Treat your business like a business and it will pay you like one…
treat your business like a hobby and it will cost you like one.
6. Lack of people to talk to
You eventually run out of friends and family so you need to have a system that can consistently generate quality leads. Finding new people to present your business to on a regular basis is crucial to get the results that you desire. Access to quality leads is the cornerstone of GAMP’s system.
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you.” ~Dale Carnegie
7. Lack of a successful proven system
Franchises are much more likely to survive than any other type of business. Why? Because they have a system. A business operating system that lays out their unique way of doing things. Like how it operates, goes to market, produces and deals with its customers. To be successful in network marketing you need a system too. You need a system to get people to talk to and then what to say to them and how to recruit and train them. GAMP’s systems and Cardone University’s training provide a proven system to ensure your success.
“The entrepreneur builds an enterprise; the technician builds a job.” ~Michael Gerber
8. Quitting too soon
In a traditional business people invest $50,000 to $1,000,000 to get started and they don’t expect to make a profit for three to five years. However, in network marketing, people will quit within 90 days if they aren’t making $10,000 per month. Decide that you’ll do whatever it takes to be successful and don’t quit before you get the results you desire.
We all want to be a success quickly, but consider this: While 95% of people who start out in network marketing fail, if you stay with a network marketing company for over 10 years, you have a 90% chance of being in the top 1/10th of 1% of money earners. Furthermore, if you are working with a good company that should make you a millionaire.
While the typical 40-year plan involves you working for someone else to make their dreams come true, in network marketing you can hustle for 2-5 years and get whatever you can dream of.
“It’s always too early to quit.” ~Norman Vincent Peale
“The path to success is to take massive, determined action.” ~Tony Robbins
